Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist

I grew up in Vancouver, Washington and love the Pacific Northwest. I completed my undergraduate degree at Rice University in Houston, Texas, double majoring in Music and Kinesiology Sports Medicine. As a professional violinist, who experienced overuse injury during college, I became passionate about helping patients do what is important to them. I then completed my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis.

After working at Providence in the greater Portland area, I completed a hand therapy fellowship and worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota to gain experience in unique, complex hand cases. I am excited to join Gabbert Clinic as a Certified Hand Therapist.

My core values are integrity, kindness, and patience. Whatever you commit to, do your best!

“Love is not an affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person’s ultimate good as far as it can be obtained.” – C.S. Lewis

I specialize in treating musicians and other artists. While at Mayo Clinic, I developed evidence-based practice documents and provided specialized care for performing artists. I also have experience in treating complex hand and upper extremity surgical conditions.

Gabbert Clinic has a welcoming atmosphere where every employee helps each other and truly cares for our patients. It’s a wonderful team dynamic, which leads to optimal patient care.

Conditions I Enjoy Treating:

Musicians and artists are some of my favorite clients. I also enjoy seeing a variety of surgical and conservative cases. Regardless of diagnosis, I appreciate connecting with and learning about each of my patients. No two clients are alike, and there is something to learn from every individual.

Favorite Movies, Books, Podcasts:

  • Every Good Endeavor by Tim Keller (Book)
  • Fiddler On The Roof (Movie)
  • Crash Landing on You (Drama)

Outside of work, I enjoy performing the violin (Classical music concerts, improvisation/pop music at church, and more). I also love hiking, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
