About Gabbert Clinic

The clinic that treats the cause.

Most clinics manage your symptoms and call it a plan. We built this one to end them: one-on-one with a licensed Occupational Therapist, several board-certified in hand therapy (CHT), every visit.

Our Story

This isn’t our story. It’s yours.

Amy Gabbert, OTR/L, CHT, founder of Gabbert Clinic

Amy Gabbert, OTR/L, CHT, Founder

You didn’t come here to read about us. You came because a hand, a wrist or an arm stopped doing its job. And because waiting is the expensive part: stiffness and scar set while you wait, and motion gets harder to win back the longer it sits. So here’s our side, briefly. Then we get back to yours.

Amy Gabbert started this clinic by herself. Sole therapist, medical biller, receptionist, marketer, out of one very small room. Then she found doctors in the area who needed a certified hand therapist to refer patients to, and the caseload grew fast. Today a team of licensed Occupational Therapists works here, including board-certified hand therapists.

That certification is the part most people never hear about. A graduate degree, 4,000 hours of hand practice, then a board exam. That is who sits across from you, one-on-one, every visit. The people who do best here are the ones who fix things: their houses, their teams, their families. They do all of it with their hands. This is where they finally fix the thing they’ve been putting off: themselves.

“Simply following protocols without a deep understanding of how we heal does not yield good results.”

What We Believe

Four things we’ll never compromise.

Your hour. Not shared.

No aide bouncing between rooms. No handoff halfway through. Just you and a licensed Occupational Therapist, start to finish.

Cause first. Symptoms follow.

A stiff finger is rarely only a finger. We look at the scar under it, the joint above it, and how your day actually uses it.

Plans end. That’s the point.

You shouldn’t need a punch card. Every plan is built to finish, so you always know how close you are to done.

You’re not a protocol.

Two people with the same diagnosis rarely need the same plan. Yours is built around your job, your hand and what you need back.

The Difference

Not your typical clinic.

A typical clinic

  • You explain your hand to a different aide every visit
  • Treatment starts before anyone finds the cause
  • A splint that never quite fits, and nobody to remold it
  • No endpoint, just book again next week

Gabbert Clinic

  • One-on-one with a licensed Occupational Therapist, several board-certified in hand therapy (CHT), every visit
  • A cause-first evaluation before we treat anything
  • Splints fabricated and remolded right here in the clinic
  • A plan with an endpoint: Pain, Prime, Perform, Prevent

You’ll feel the difference in the first visit.

Rooted in Vancouver

This is our neighborhood too.

Your neighbors are already on this schedule. The mom pushing through it so nobody else has to worry. The guy who can’t grip a drill through a full shift. The gymnast whose wrist quits halfway across the mat. We live here too, and recovery gets a lot more personal when it’s local. Tina F. put it this way: “Gabbert Hand Therapy is a wonderful woman owned small business ! I’m so happy to have found this therapy clinic and my hand and arm are starting to gain strength and mobility again. Every staff member has infinite patience, kindness and compassion. They are technology savvy with text reminders, cancelation lists, and insurance details. I’m extremely satisfied and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my hand therapy needs.”
