I am from small town Cibolo, Texas; but most people don’t know where that’s at, so I just usually say San Antonio since we are right on the edge there. I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I graduated with a bachelor’s of Psychology, followed by attending University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, for my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
Post grad, I started my OT career in Pediatrics, where I specialized in play! Integrating therapy in one of the, if not the, most important occupations for children, started the foundations in how I would perceive and integrate various concepts such as myofascial release, sensory integration, play therapy, and MORE, in order to maximize and best serve those I encountered. Following pediatrics, I worked in Oncology rehabilitation, specializing in Chemotoxicity and Exercise Management as well as Pelvic Floor Therapy. The growing desire and skill to integrate various concepts and “take my tool bag” with me, continued to expand in this practice setting, as I was able to integrate various credentials and experiences such as my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist experience, personal training, Pelvic Floor therapy training, neurological interventions, and various manual/orthopedic therapies to serve the Oncology population. It is the culmination of these experiences that I have no doubts, have prepared me for working as an aspiring Hand therapist and continuing to sharpen the skills in integrating various concepts and frameworks (or my “tools in my toolbox”) to serve patients in the Hand therapy population.
My core values that drive me in life are “loving up and loving out”: meaning that by the grace of God through His Son Jesus, I live to love Him in such a way that He gets the glory for all that I do. Though I know I am not perfect in doing this, His grace is sufficient to provide all that I need in doing so in my job and when loving people. And with that, a core value that drives me is also loving others or “loving out”, in a way that is reflective of the love that Jesus has demonstrated to us! Though I know I am not perfect in doing so, I make it my mission to love and serve everyone the best that He has equipped me to through this awesome profession! And it has been beyond a blessing to be able to have done so through the therapeutic relationships cultivated with patients thus far!

“True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.” — C.S. Lewis
Currently serving on the team as an aspiring Certified Hand Therapist, specializing in treating various conditions of the hand, elbow, wrist and the occasional shoulder. I am greatly looking forward to growing in the specialty, that is, Hand therapy, and am beyond excited to integrate other specializations such as my background as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and experience in personal training, exercise physiology, and orthopedics, to provide the best service for patients.
Something that patients have to deal with me that I would like to fix, is my over explanation and wordiness in all things human anatomy or orthopedics related. My biggest answer to some of their most pressing questions is “It depends” which just opens a can of worms of explaining…I’d like to get better on being concise and to the point with explaining that which excites me when explaining treatment or therapy/anatomy.
Conditions that I enjoy treating are anything Orthopedic-related (i.e, Hands, Wrist/Elbow, Shoulder, Knee, and Hips), Neurological, and Pelvic Floor therapy.
What I love about working here at Gabbert Clinic is the outstanding community of team members and patients that fuel that drive, inspire me to keep growing and learning, while never settling for stagnancy or complacency. There is always something to be learned and grown upon, and to have a team and patients that fuels that drive, has been awesome to be a part of.

When I am not working, I enjoy anything outdoors such as hiking, paddleboarding, white water rafting, snowboarding and open to any others not mentioned. I enjoy working out and studying all things orthopedics (or anything about the human body, really) and I am a HUGE foodie. Most importantly, I enjoy growing in my relationship with others and spending time with family and those I am blessed to be able to love.
